For those of you in Europe who continually complain of how much you envy the US domestic crossover SUV market, Renault has something to perk your spirits. The Renault Koleos is the diamond emblem automakers first foray into the crossover market and claims to offer "genuine off-road ability". The Koleos offers a wide array of equipment with two diesel tune level and two gas engines, both optioned with either a 6 speed manual, auto transmission, and a CVT in some instances - two wheel or all wheel drive are obviously available.  read more »

Lord almighty these cars are bright in person. Ford went ahead and dropped the real deal Ford Fiesta on us and they went out of their way to slather then in colors the Joker would be very proud of. We're pretty excited by the idea of a compact Ford in the market again, though we don't have confirmation yet on the 5 door coming stateside yet. One thing the original (good) Focus was never faulted for was its handling, and it's something Ford has figured out which we're hoping transfers to a potentially more flickable car.  read more »

The release of information regarding the new Ford Fiesta, the latest global small car platform from Ford, brings lots of good news. First, the new Fiesta maintains all of the kinetic design language from the Ford Verve concepts. Second, it'll be available just about everywhere Ford makes cars, with production in North America for the North American market. Third, the car is still going to be called the Fiesta. The slow trickle of information on the new VW Golf has now become a deluge with VW releasing official information on the German Rabbit. We've already heard what the European pricing will be, and now, thanks to the press release, we can see the turbodiesel engine range will have common-rail direct-injection and be available with power levels of: 90 HP, 110 HP, 140 HP, and 170 HP. The TSI gas engines will put out 80 HP, 102 HP, 122 HP and 160 HP. Now keep in mind, that's the European engine range. Ours here in the US will likely be different. Chrysler has released the all new 2008 Chrysler Grand Voyager in Australia with a starting price of $56,990 . The 2008 model has improved significantly, with the entry price only increasing by $1,000 . The old 3.3-litre V6 engine has been replaced with a new 3.8-litre petrol V6 and, for the first time, a 2.8-litre turbo diesel is also available. Chrysler says there is more than 30 new improvements for the original people mover. The new engines are now coupled to six-speed automatic transmissions which replace the aging four-speeds. Other notable features include standard Reversing camera across the range, all-new Swivel n Go seating system, the availability of dual-DVD screens for second- and third-row entertainment and MyGIG Multimedia Infotainment System. The most obvious change, however, is the all-new interior and exterior design which now resemble the rest of the Chrysler line-up. The wait is finally over and the new Australian Ford Falcons are here. Known as the FG Falcon, this seventh generation of the Falcon appears to be packing the goods to compete with the venerable Holden Commodore . This RWD sedan will come in XT, G-Series and XR trim levels with a variety of engines. The Ute version will include a base, R6 and XR trim. In addition to the base inline-six, the Falcon gets a turbocharged version good for 362 horsepower and 393 lb.-ft. of torque. At the top end is the 5.4-liter Boss V8 good for 388 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque.  read more »
