The Pininfarina Hyperion a Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe with a coachbuilt body has been unveiled at the Pebble Beach Concours . Its owner, Roland Hall, for whom the regular $412,000 car wasnt exclusive enough, has dedicated the Hyperion to the late Andrea Pininfarina, who designed the custom carbon fiber body. read more »

You know the last name. This is the other racer from Scotland's contribution to American motorsport. Marino is young, enthusiastic, driven and, to top it all, has kept a vivid sense of humor. After learning that the second-place Acura had been disqualified, he told me he was going over to their truck to trade his third-place trophy for theirs. Now that's a racer.

The fastest naturally aspirated four-door in the world, the E60 BMW M5 packs a powerful punch. With a rated 500 hp from just five liters of displacement, few manufacturers have attempted such a feat without forced induction. Costs are high when trying to make reliable power at high revs, especially at this level. Companies that have accomplished this are usually called Ferrari and Lamborghini. But BMW has also figured it out and its new S85 V10 is superb. Yet surprisingly, this engine has shown room for improvement by responding well to basic performance upgrades. read more »
You know who we don't spend enough time talking about? Max Hoffman. Max Hoffman? Yeah buddy, Max Hoffman. Those of you with steel trap memories will remember that Hoffman was the guy who convinced Mercedes-Benz to build and import the 300 SL, a car we all agree is six degrees of triple-rad. Hoffman also had Frank Lloyd Wright design him both a home and a Jaguar dealership in Manhattan and he's responsible for bringing the Porsche 356 Speedster to American soil. The BMW 507, too. What a guy.

The three year old Nissan Note now taking new face, Nissan Motor Co. announced today that the new 2008 Note compact car will reach Japan market on 16th Jan this year. The new 2008 Nissan Note will price between 1,354,500 Yen to 1,865,850 Yen (includeing consumption tax), and expectation of the sales targets is that 4,000 units per month. Since the original Nissan Notes debut in January 2005, it has garnered customer accolades for its quick acceleration, quiet and comfortable driving manner, comfortable roomy interior and convenient double-decker multi-configurable trunk. read more »
