After we explained earlier about GM's web-based brain-fart, it looks like the covers have now been officially blown off the wicked new 2009 Cadillac CTS-V. We're talking 550 hp, we're talking about 550 lb.-ft. of torque, we're talking magnetic ride control, we're talking performance traction management, we're talking that beautiful 6.2L LSA Supercharged V8, we're talking sub-5 second 0-60 times (actually Cadillac's unofficially claiming it'll be closer to a four-second 0-60 time). With the introduction of the 2008 Cadillac CTS and now the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V, GM's luxury division has the makings of a roll on its hands. And the momentum should continue with the new 2009 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid, which is the world's first full-size luxury hybrid SUV.
Other highlights include new front fender vents on the XLR and a body-color roof-mounted XM Satellite Radio/OnStar antenna on the DTS.

No sooner than the redesigned Cadillac CTS reaches showrooms than Cadillac is unveiling a SEMA-ized concept variation. This Sport concept appears to improve on the sharp-edged CTS, a promising upscale sedan. (We purchased our test model just this week.)
